Exercise 11: Platyhelminthes
Exercise 11 is a study of three classes of flatworms: Turbellaria, Trematoda, and Cestoidea. Live and slide-mounted Dugesia are used to study members of the class Turbellaria. Slide and preserved specimens are used to study the structure and life cycles of members of the classes Trematoda and Cestoidea. Students study relationships among the classes using a cladogram in worksheet 11.1.
