Zoology Lab Correlations

Exercise 12: The Pseudocoelomate Body Plan: Aschelminths
Exercise 12 is a study of the phyla Rotifera and Nematoda. Other pseudocoelomate phyla are included for comparison. A live rotifer, Philodina, is studied as a representative of its phylum. A dissection and study of cross sections of Ascaris are used to illustrate nematode structure. Living vinegar eels and soil nematodes are also studied. Other important parasitic nematodes (Trichinella, Necator, and Enterobius) are observed.
