Exercise 19: Vertebrate Nervous Regulation
Exercise 19 begins with a slide study of the basic unit of the vertebrate nervous system, the neuron. This activity is followed by a study of the vertebrate central nervous system. It includes a slide study of the spinal cord and observations of shark and sheep brains. The exercise concludes with observations of brain models to demonstrate evolutionary changes in the vertebrate brain.
