Dr. Raj Kamal (b. 1949) did his M.Sc. at the age of 17. He published his first research paper in a UK journal at the age of 18, and his first program, written in FORTRAN that ran at ICT 1904, also at the age of 18 and completed his Ph.D. (1972) from Indian Institute of Technology. He is strongly motivated ex-IITian with a strong academic and research credentials. He has teaching and programming skills in Java, C, C++ and FORTRAN and assembly languages for 8086, 8051, 68HC11, and 8096. He has developed sound knowledge of web protocols, Internet and web technologies. He has also developed expertise in Embedded Processors and Systems, Multiprocessors, Microcontrollers and OOPs, Computer Architecture, Networking and Data Structure. He has about 30 years of teaching experience, guided 9 Ph.D.s, and published 43 research papers in International and 39 in National journals. Due to his constant drive for understanding emerging technologies and passion for acquiring latest knowledge and its dissemination, he has also authored several high technology area books. Dr Raj Kamal is a Senior Professor in Computer Science and Electronics, and teaches at Devi Ahilya University at Indore. Currently, he is associated with the TIFAC Center of Relevance and Excellence in Network Engineering, A K College of Engineering, Krishnankoil, Tamil Nadu.
