B I Bhatt is a Consultant to Chemical Industries and is based at Ahmedabad. He provides consultancy services in energy conserva-tion, captive power generation, debottlenecking in chemical industries and other engineering services. He earlier served chemical industries for nearly 34 years. His industrial experi-ence covered the fields of project execution, process engineering, debottlenecking, troubleshooting, production management, manage-ment reporting, etc. He spent nearly 18 years at Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited, Kalol Unit in various capacities. Prior to joining the industry, he served at the textile research institute (ATIRA) for nearly 5 years where he was involved in industrial research and consultation to member textile units.

Mr Bhatt carried out units conversion work from fps units to SI units of the Introduction of Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, 6th Edition by Smith, Van Ness and Abbott, a publication of McGraw-Hill, USA.

Mr Bhatt graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University Institute of Chemical Technology, University of Mumbai.

S M Vora is Vice President of Technology and Chairman of Techni-cal Review Committee with Entecgration Inc. Fogelsville, PA, USA. His responsibilities include directing technology developments and chairing technical reviews. He was earlier the Principal Engineering Associate with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Allentown, PA, USA where he worked for more than 27 years. His experience and responsibilities included various process improve-ments, debottlenecking and troubleshooting, catalyst evaluation from laboratory to commercial applications, process development and reactor scale-ups, digital simulations and modelling, at-mospheric dispersion, equipment designs, standardizing and cen-tralizing emission calculations and reporting for multi-plants, management reporting, etc. He is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from the University Institute of Chemical Technology, University of Mumbai and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, USA.
