Multimedia Supplements


The Instructor’s Presentation CD-ROM is a collection of visual resources which allows instructors to utilize artwork, worked examples, and tables from the text and interactive applets to create customized classroom presentations, visually based tests and quizzes, dynamic course website content, or attractive printed support materials. The digital assets on this cross-platform CD-ROM are grouped by chapter within easy-to-use folders.

The instructor center of the Online Learning Center is an online repository for teaching aids. It houses downloadable and printable versions of traditional ancillaries plus a wealth of online content including CAPA, WebAssign™, GradeSummit™ and course management systems consisting of PageOut and WebCT.

McGraw-Hill is proud to bring you an assortment of outstanding Interactive Applets like no other. These “Interactives” offer a fresh and dynamic method to teach the physics basics by providing students with applets that are completely accurate and work with real data. Interactives allow students to manipulate parameters and gain a better understanding of 20 of the more difficult physics topics by watching the effect of these manipulations. The Brownstone software includes a test generator, an online testing program, Internet testing, and grade management systems. This user-friendly software’s testing capability is consistently ranked number one in evaluations over other products. The Word files for the end of chapter problems and the solutions can be used in combination with the Brownstone software or independently.

Printed Supplements


The Instructor’s Resource Guide includes many unique assets for instructors, such as demonstrations, suggested reform ideas from Physics Education Research, and ideas for incorporating Just-In-Time teaching techniques. The Instructor’s Resource Guide also includes answers to the end-of-chapter conceptual questions and complete, worked-out solutions for all the end-of-chapter problems from the text.

The boxed set of Transparencies includes 300 full-color acetates featuring images from the text. The images have been modified to ensure maximum readability in both small and large classroom settings.
