Dr. P.K. Nag is currently associated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jadavpur University as Emeritus Fellow of AICTE. Prior to this, he was affiliated to the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur for about four decades, almost since his graduation. His areas of interest include circulating fluidized bed boilers, combined cycle power generation, second law analysis of thermal systems, and waste heat recovery. He was a visiting Professor in a Canadian University for two years during 1985–86 and 1993–94. He has presented several papers at International Conferences held in the US, Japan, Canada and Bangladesh. He has authored four books and more than 130 research papers in journals and proceedings. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Engineers (FNAE) and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India). In his early years, he was also an NCC Officer at IIT, Kharagpur.
