John R. Hubbard is Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of
Richmond. He received his Ph.D. from The University of Michigan (1973) and has been a member
of the Richmond faculty since 1983. His primary interests are in numerical algorithms and database
systems. Dr. Hubbard is the author of several other books, including Schaum’s Outline of Fundamentals
of Computing with C++, Schaum’s Outline of Data Structures with C++, and Schaum’s
Outline of Programming with Java. Atul Kahate (BSc, MBA) has over a decade’s experience in Information Technology in India and
abroad in various capacities. This is one of his 13 books on IT (including editions). Atul has also
authored two books on cricket, has written over 1000 articles on IT and cricket in all the leading
newspapers and magazines/journals in India and abroad, and has taught a number of technical courses
in many institutions. He has deep interest in teaching, music and cricket besides technology. He has
won several awards, both in India and abroad. He has worked with Syntel, L&T Infotech, American
Express and Deutche Bank previously and is currently working with i-flex solutions limited, Pune
as Project Manager and lives in Pune with his wife Anita, daughter Jui, and son Harsh.
