Dhananjay Dhamdhere is Professor and ex-head in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at
the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has taught Operating Systems, Programming Languages
and Compilers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels for over 30 years at IIT Bombay and
in US Universities. He has authored books titled Compiler Construction and Systems Programming and
Operating Systems. Professor Dhamdhere has published several research papers in distributed algorithms
for operating systems and optimizing compilers, and has received research funding from Sun
Microsystems, Microsoft and Intel. He has been a consultant with IT companies like Tata Consultancy
Services and Wipro. He holds B.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from IIT Bombay.
