Dr. Goutam Saha is a faculty member at Dept. of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. India for the last five years. In between, he served Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, University of Southern California, USA, as 'Visiting Professor' for one semester under faculty exchange program. An expert in acoustic signature analysis, Dr. Saba has developed an automatic speaker recognition system for biometric authentication and a heart sound analyzer in biomedical signal processing area. He is engaged in a number of collaborative research projects at national and international levels. Dr. Saha has over thirty publications in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences that includes Physical Review E, IEEE Transactions, etc. He has delivered invited-talks at different places of USA and Europe. He is also a co-author of a popular textbook' Digital Principles and Applications', sixth edition, ISBN 0-07-060175-5, McGraw-Hill Education, India.
