Paul W. Beamish is Associate Dean of Research and Development and professor of International Strategy at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. He is the author or co-author of 40 books, over 90 articles or contributed chapters, and 85 case studies. His articles have appeared in Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review and elsewhere. His consulting and management training activities have been in both the public and the private sector for such organizations as Boeing, Labatt/Interbrew, The World Bank, the Canadian Foreign Service Institute, and the Harvard Institute for International Development. He has received case writing awards from the European Foundation for Management Development, The Management Development Centre of Hong Kong, The Academy of International Business and the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada. He worked for the Procter & Gamble Company of Canada and Wilfrid Laurier University before joining Ivey's faculty in 1987. He is the founding Director of Ivey's Asian Management Institute.
