Complex fraction  A fraction containing one or more other fractions in its numerator or denominator.

Denominator  The number under the division line in a fraction. The denominator is also known as the divisor.

Equivalent fractions  Fractions that have the same value.

Improper fraction  A fraction whose numerator is larger or equal to the denominator.

Mill rate  The amount of property tax per $1000 of taxable value.

Mixed number  A number consisting of a whole number plus a fraction.

Numerator  The number above the division line in a fraction. The numerator is also known as the dividend.
