About the Authors

Santi V. Buscemi, Middlesex County College

Dr. Santi V. Buscemi is professor of English and chair of the Department of English at Middlesex County College in Edison, New Jersey, where he teaches reading and writing. He received his B.A. from St. Bonaventure University, and completed studies for the doctorate at the University of Tennessee. He is the author of A Reader For Developing Writers (McGraw-Hill), now in its third edition; An ESL Workbook (McGraw-Hill); and coauthor with Charlotte Smith of 75 Readings Plus (McGraw-Hill). He is also chief author of McGraw-Hill's ALLWRITE!, an interactive computer software program in rhetoric, grammar, and research.

Robert Wiznura, Grant MacEwan College

Dr. Robert Wiznura teaches literature at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta, and at Athabasca University. He holds a PhD in English from the University of British Columbia, a BA and an MA in English from the University of Alberta, and an additional BA in Philosophy from Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, Belgium. He has published and presented several papers on topics from media and popular culture to Hobbes and Heidegger. As well, Dr. Wiznura has contributed several entries to the Canadian Encyclopedia Plus, and has served as a commentator for CBC Radio, CJSR radio, and in See Magazine, Vue Weekly and the Edmonton Journal.

Charlotte Smith, Adirondack Community College

Charlotte Smith teaches English composition and technical writing at Adirondack Community College in Queensbury, New York.
