Working in a Diverse Workplace

What to Watch for and Ask Yourself

  1. Do you think Jim's remarks in Part 1 were sexist or that they could be considered “sexual harassment”? If so, why?
  2. Should the company have reacted to Jim's remarks in Part 1? What corrective action could the company have taken?
  3. In Part 2 note how Jacques believed he was being treated unfairly. Do you think the manager (Gerrard) would have reacted differently if Jacques' partner /roommate was female?
  4. Note the importance that the animator put on “effectively managing diversity” in the workplace. Do you think companies in general are doing a good job in this area?
