The Likelihood Ratio Calculator
A Palm-compatible PDA tool that displays evidence-based operating characteristics for many commonly used diagnostic tests. The user is guided in selecting a pre-test probability for a disease in question, and the tool provides the post-test probabilities for each possible test result. These results can be used to select the most useful test and demonstrate that tests are not useful if they do not significantly change the probability of disease.
