Delivering

Learning Objectives:

This lesson covers the delivery phase of a multimedia project. At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
  • List the steps a project should go through as part of the testing process, and describe their significance
  • Determine what steps you need to take for preparing your project for delivery in the marketplace
  • Discuss CD-ROM technology and standards as they apply to multimedia
  • Discuss DVD standards and capacities as they apply to multimedia
  • Determine the type of packaging needed for different multimedia projects
  • Assess the technical considerations of project delivery on the World Wide Web
A multimedia producer ultimately looks forward to successfully delivering a project. The project may be delivered online, it may be delivered directly to a client’s computer network, or it may be delivered on CD-ROM or DVD. Whatever medium is ultimately chosen, the project’s delivery must be carefully planned and prepared for just like any other project phase. This lesson looks at the delivery phase and takes a special look at DVD technology.
