We are pleased to offer a full On-Line Learning Center with the Sixth Edition of Slavin's Economics. Jim Barbour, Professor of Economics at Elon College and expert in teaching Economics on the World Wide Web, has teamed up with Steve Slavin to produce a robust website that will enhance any principles of Economics classroom.

For the Student: the website will contain many special features to help students grasp the difficult concepts in Principles, including:

  • Extra Help with Math and Graphs
  • Economics in Action: this portion of the site will have two main elements:
    • Discussion Board - a place where students can ask each other questions and offer suggestions.
    • Current Events - 4 different current event stories with study questions per semester.

  • Economics on the Web
  • Careers in Economics
For the Instructor:
  • Instructor's Manual

  • Economics in Action: this portion of the site will contain three main elements for instructors:
    • Discussion Board
    • Teaching Tips for Instructors - mainly filled with the "how to" tips but also methodology scenarios.
    • Current Events - 4 different current event stories with appropriate questions per semester - works out to about 1 per month - 8 total for the year.
