About the Author

Gloria K. Fiero was born and raised in New York City. She earned her Masters Degree in Art History at the University of California, Berkeley, and her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Humanities at the Florida State University. She has written and lectured on medieval and renaissance topics and on the arts as they reflect the human condition. Dr. Fiero is Professor Emerita of History/Humanities at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.
