Parts 4 and 5 (a)

For each complex sentence, write the main clause in the blank. For example,

Fred and I planned to meet when we finished work.
Fred and I planned to meet.

For sentences with noun clauses, use X to stand for the noun clause. For example,

Fred called to tell me that he would be late.
Fred called to tell me X.

1		Everyone who worked on this project needs a vacation.
2		After we have finished, we'll take a long vacation.
3		Phil said that we should all go to a movie.
4		The book which I read is on sale.
5		The teacher will never know why we're always late.
6		You'll know when it's time to leave.
