Analyzing a Composition
The paragraphs in this composition are not in order. Number them in the correct order from 1 to 6.
1
Paragraph #

Another solution to the problem of lack of water is to stop development. People should not build in places that do not have enough water. In the western United States, many people live in deserts. Deserts don't have much water, so a lot of people can't live there. Governments should stop people from building in very dry areas.
2
Paragraph #

The supply of clean water is one of the most important problems in the world today. If we do not take it seriously, water may become as expensive as oil.
3
Paragraph #

A third solution is to turn to science. There are inexpensive machines for cleaning water. Some of them do not even need electricity. They use solar power. These machines can help people in poorer areas have enough clean water. In addition, scientists are trying to develop new ways to take the salt out of seawater. Right now this is very expensive. In the future, maybe it will be possible to do it easily and cheaply.
4
Paragraph #

When there is not enough good water, people have to drink unclean water. This causes many health problems, especially for young children. The lack of water also is a big problem for farmers because they do not have fresh water to irrigate their crops.
5
Paragraph #

There are no easy solutions to this problem. One of the best is conservation. People should think of water as a valuable natural resource that they must not waste. There should also be strict laws about conserving water.
6
Paragraph #

One of the biggest problems in the world today is lack of fresh water. This is not just a problem for developing countries. Lack of water is a problem in Mexico and parts of Africa, but it is also a problem in the western United States, Australia, and parts of Europe.
