While Andre was becoming successful in San Francisco, Carolina was having a difficult time in New York. She wasn't learning English fast enough. She wasn't making friends, and she wasn't earning any money. She decided to move into the dormitory at her college. Her roommate, Sylvie, was from Toronto, Canada. Sylvie was working in a restaurant.
