Feature Summary

There are many helpful pedagogical features throughout the Seventh Edition of Fundamentals of Investment Management including:

"Real World of Investing" boxes highlight interesting situations affecting corporations and their investors so that students can apply theory to the real world. Many of these are brand new, and all have been updated from the previous edition.

New Part Openers feature prominent professionals who are impacting the investments world.

Increased Global Information is easily located by a new Global Icon. Students will learn about world markets and why it is important for them to understand those markets.

New Web Bibliography Boxes introduces students to the important financial information that is available on the Internet, and how and where to access the best sites.

New Web Exercises are located in the end of chapter material. They require the use of the Internet to solve interesting and challenging exercises relevant to text content.

New Stock Investor Pro Questions are found in the end of chapter material. These questions tie into the material featured on the Stock Investor Pro CD ROM that is included free with each new textbook. The CD is created by the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) and it has a user-friendly stock screening and analysis program to give users a complete overview of most major stocks.

Wall Street Journal Projects are also found in the end of chapter materials. Current information from the Wall Street Journal is used to illustrate major points in the chapter. This feature also illustrates the value of the Wall Street Journal for both the student and the business finance community.

Selected References are organized by topic and provide an up-to-date overview of relevant books and articles.

CFA Questions further reinforce the student's learning process. The intent is to illustrate that much of what the students are learning is in line with what professional financial analysts are expected to know for certification.
