  1. Make a list of your five favorite foods and/or beverages. Assess the nutritional value of each of these items by analyzing their labels.
  2. For five days, keep track of the number of fat grams you consume each day. Analyze this amount; then come up with a fat consumption plan. (i.e., if it is too high, where can substitutions be made? etc.)
  3. Take a menu from the cafeteria dining hall and identify the foods high in fiber, low in fat, high in salt, sugar, etc.
  4. Plan a party menu with nutritious snacks and foods.
  5. Looking at each of the ten 2000 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, devise a personal action plan for yourself for each of the guidelines.
