Rhythm

Summary

Next to the voice, rhythm is one of the most primal elements of music. When listening, don't be surprised if rhythm is something you feel in your bones-it's a fundamental sense living things experience in the movements of life. We even have a "circadian rhythm" in our bodies, that governs our sleeping and awakening activities, in accordance to the environment. Rhythm and percussion are closely related. In this section, you will be given resources for deeper study into this concept, as well as its connection to percussion instruments.
