This very good site provides a concise introduction to Baroque musical forms and theory, as they apply to improvisation in music of the time. The site is a good resource for learning about basic harmonic and melodic strategies applied in Baroque composition. It also helps to remind us of the technical rigor and level of analytic ability required by musicians of the time.
