About the Author

Glenn Ledder is Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Nebraska ? Lincoln. His research encompasses mathematical modeling in a variety of settings, including combustion theory, groundwater flow, population dynamics and physiological ecology, and has appeared in numerous journals in mechanical engineering, engineering science, geology and biology as well as applied mathematics. He has also published articles on undergraduate mathematics in the CODEE newsletter, Mathematics Magazine and the UMAP Journal.

Glenn lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with his wife, Susan. They have two children, Louis and Becky. In his free time, he enjoys running, canoeing and folk music.
