Susan J. Hall is a Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Health and Exercise Sciences at the University of Delaware. She is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and the AAHPERD Research Consortium. Hall's research interests have focused on low back pain prevention and the biomechanical aspects of selected sports and exercises and she has published numerous research papers related to these topics. Her research has been funded by NIH, the U.S. Olympic Committee, Jogbra, and various internal university sources. Hall has been elected Chair of the Biomechanics Academy of AAHPERD, as well as member of the Board of Directors of the International Society for Biomechanics in Sport and the Board of Trustees of the American College of Sports Medicine. She has also served as Chair of the NAPEHE Future Directions Committee, Secretary of the AAHPERD Research Consortium, member of ACSM's Publications Committee, member of the Board of Directors of the Delaware Institute of Medical Education and Research, member of the Board of Directors of the Delaware Women's Alliance for Sports and Fitness, Exercise Science Book Review Editor for Doody Publishing, member of the Quest Editorial Board, and a regular reviewer for numerous journals. Hall is also the author of several successful textbooks. |
