Computer Leasing

Leasing a computer is a popular alternative for many reasons, including:

  • Good support while you lease the computer
  • Lack of technology obsolescence
  • Lower cost

However, there are some drawbacks as well. First, you can't sell the computer -- you simply trade it in and start leasing a new one. And second, you must often receive approval before upgrading the computer (for example, adding more RAM).

We can't tell you if leasing a computer is the way to go any more than we can tell you whether or not to lease a car. It's up to you to weigh the advantages and disadvantages according to your particular situation and make the best choice.
