In a message on 12/11 David Parker wrote:

Cars and cities don't mix. People who live in cities should pay special taxes for the cost of keeping up the roads and cleaning up the air pollution. People who need cars should move to the suburbs. Public transportation is the only solution for cities!

Mr. Parker is an idiot! Obviously he doesn't have a car, so he wants car owners to pay more taxes. That's a ridiculous idea. Buses are public transportation and they run on the same roads, so maybe the bus riders should pay extra taxes too. Obviously, Mr. Parker only knows rich people who can afford to pay more taxes. Well, he'd better realize that there are plenty of poor people with cars, and we can't pay any more. Public transportation is okay if you work days, but what about people who work the night shift. The city is too dangerous for them to take public transportation late at night, but jerks like Parker don't think of that. Let's face it. If people like Parker get their way, only rich people will have cars!
