Case Problems

Case Problems Ch02 (56.0K)Case Problems: Main Street Antiques

Now that Bryan, the owner of Main Street Antiques, has learned several techniques for modifying documents, he decides to update some documents that he has created earlier. In the following case problems, assume the role of Bryan and perform the same steps he would perform to complete these tasks.

  1. Bryan begins by opening the WD02XTRA04 data file and saving it to his personal storage location as "Revised Ad". Next, he re-formats the ad so that it is similar to figure 2.3. by applying a different font size and bold format to the text "Main Street Antiques" and by applying bullet list format to the list. Save and print the document. Keep the document open for the next exercise.

  3. Bryan decides that he wants to fax the advertisement in to the local paper. He starts a new fax using the Professional Fax template. He fills in the following information:
    • Company: Main St Antiques
    • To: Brenda Wooler
    • From: Bryan Mion
    • Fax: 555-4567
    • Pages: 1
    • Phone: 555-4321
    • Re: Advertisement
  4. He then copies the entire body of the "Revised Ad" document and pastes it into the bottom portion of the fax. His document appears similar to Figure 2.4.

  5. Bryan wants to update the store hours sign in the window. He opens data file WD02XTRA05 and saves it to his personal storage location as "Hours Sign". He changes the font of all of the text to Arial and applies a bold format to the days of the week. He then centers all of the text and resizes it to 36 points. He saves the document and prints it. The finished document appears similar to Figure 2.5.
