- Format the address using Arial, 12 points, bold,
underline.
- Color the hotel name indigo and the address blue.
- Save the document as "Header Letterhead" to your personal
storage location.
Temporary Solutions: Formatting a Document for the Web
Joel Walker, a tech employee at Temporary Solutions, has been
given a Word document that needs to be prepared for the Web.
Assume the role of Joel as he prepares the document and perform
the steps he identifies. - Open the WD04XTRA01 document.
- Save the document as "Web Congrats" to your personal
storage location.
- Prepare the document for a clean conversion to HTML by
marking the header as a header.
SELECT: the text "CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS WEEKS
PERMANENT PLACEMENTS!" SELECT: Heading 2 from the Stlye drop-down list - Save the document as a Web page named "Web Congrats" to
your personal storage location and then close the
document.
- Open the "Web Congrats" Web page into Word.
- Apply the Willow theme to the document and then preview the
document in your browser. Your screen should appear similar to
figure 4.2.

- Close your browser window.
- After saving the revised Web page, close the document.

Jan Dice has decided to put up a web site to help advertise
her services. She has hired a consulting team to put together a
professional site. But, in the meantime, she wants to put up a
placeholder page so that people dont get errors when they
try to come to her site. Assume the role of Jan as she crafts a
placeholder page in Word. - Create a new blank Word document and saves it to your
personal storage location as "Web Placeholder".
- TYPE:

site in the fall. - Select all of the text and center it.
- Format the document to approximate that shown in Figure
4.3.

- Save the document as a Web page named "Web Placeholder" to
your personal storage location and close the document.
- Open the "Web Placeholder" Web page into Word.
- Apply the Tabs and Folders theme.
- Change the color of the text "Jan Dice" to a dark red and
change the color of the phone number to a dark blue.
- Save the revised Web page and preview the document in your
browser. Your screen should now appear similar to Figure
4.4.

- Close your browser window.
