Exercise #1
  1. Start PowerPoint from the Start button
  2. Use the AutoContent Wizard to create:
    1. an on-screen presentation for Selling a Product.
    2. Title the presentation, Your Choices in Phone Service.
    3. In the footer include the salesman’s name, Jacob Wright, the date last updated and the slide number.
  3. View the presentation :
    1. scroll through all the slides in the Outline tab
    2. scroll through all the slides in the Slides tab
    3. Change to Slide Sorter View, click on Slide 1 and run a slide show of the presentation
    4. Return to Normal View, Outline tab
  4. Use the PowerPoint Help facility
    1. Ask the Office Assistant about switching views
    2. Select the topic – About PowerPoint Views
    3. Read the information under Normal View for both Slides Tab and Outline Tab
    4. Summarize the reasons for using one tab versus the other on paper and submit to your instructor.
  5. Save your presentation as Your Choices in phone Service, and close the file


Exercise #2

  1. Start PowerPoint from the Programs Menu
  2. Use the AutoContent Wizard to create:
    1. An on-screen presentation for an Employee Orientation
    2. Title the Presentation, Welcome to Success.com
    3. Do not include the date last updated in the Footer
    4. Do include the slide number and the text, Employee Orientation 2003 in the Footer
    5. Finish creating the presentation
  3. Switch to each of the different views
    1. Run your presentation in Slide Show mode
    2. Return to Normal View, Slides tab
  4. Use the PowerPoint Help Facility
    1. Ask the Office Assistant about deleting a slide
    2. Read the method given and also view the tip
    3. Write down on paper the two different ways and submit this to your instructor.
    4. Close the Help Window

Save the presentation as Welcome to Success.ppt, and close the file.
