Exercise #1

Visit the following Web site:

http://www.ibm-printers.com/LaserPrinters/laser_printer.htm. Read and review the information at the site with respect to the laser printer needs of one of the work groups presented. Follow the links to gather enough information to confidently sell your product to that particular group.

Using the AutoContent Wizard prepare a sales presentation for the XYZ Co. Your objective is to sell your targeted workgroup at the XYZ Co., one of your laser printers. Choose an appropriate presentation type and title for your presentation. Include the text “XYZ Co. Sales Presentation” in the footer. Include the slide number but not the date last updated in the presentation. Replace the suggested content with the information you gathered. Save your presentation as Laser Printer.ppt

Visit the Verizon Careers web site:

http://www22.verizon.com/about/careers . Follow the links and gather information about working for Verizon. Be sure to visit the “About Verizon” page to learn about the company and also the “Executive Center” link from that page to learn about the key executives.

Use the AutoContent Wizard and the Employee Orientation (presentation type) to prepare an Employee Recruitment presentation to be presented at the 2002 Eastern College Job Fair. Use the text “A Career with Verizon” for the title of the presentation. Include the text “2002 Eastern College Fair” in the footer, as well as the last date updated and slide number. Change the bullet text on slide two as needed to reflect the topics you will cover. Be sure to keep the topics, History, Who’s Who and Benefits review. When finished, save your presentation as Verizon careers.ppt
