Selected Speeches and Writing of Czech Republic President Vaclav Havel
This famous dissident-turned-President has become something of a global icon for both romantic idealists, and pragmatic realism of democracy. His speeches and writings have a very wide (international) following; selected pieces from the past few years are presented here at his official presidential Web site. Whether or not you agree with his ideas, they are always stimulating.
