Equal Opportunity Policies are practical, micro-level applications of more theoretically rooted, macro-level policies. The human resource head of a new and burgeoning company, you are faced with the challenge of drafting an Equal Opportunity Policy and Mission statement that will fairly represent your company and its employees. Research your statement through reading those of other companies, and by referring to the EEOC commission legislation, rules and guidelines. Then, with a better understanding of your role, draft a policy statement for your company, and develop a plan describing how it will be implemented, how employees can register complaints, and how it will be reviewed and evaluated to ensure it adapts with the needs of the workers it protects.
