1

Ask your instructor if he or she uses a spreadsheet to keep track of class grades. If your instructor does not use a spreadsheet, find out why he or she has chosen another method. Which method do you think would be better—your instructor’s method or a spreadsheet? Why? If your instructor does use a spreadsheet, find out the name of the spreadsheet application, the version, the release, and the platform on which it runs.
2

Interview five left-handed computer users. Ask each one if he or she uses the mouse with the left hand or the right hand. For those that use the mouse right-handed, ask why they made the decision to use their non-dominant hand for this task. For those that use the mouse left-handed, ask them what other steps are needed in order for them to comfortably use their computer in a left-handed fashion. What conclusions have you reached about the usability of computers for left-handed users from their answers?
