Use the WWW to research the FBI’s database of fingerprints. Write up a one-pager report. Be sure to tell when the database was first organized, how law enforcement authorities can access it, how authorized individuals can add to it, how many individuals’ fingerprints the database contains, and how people’s fingerprints come to be included in the database.

Try out a PIM (Personal Information Manager), such as the free one offered by Yahoo.com or the one that comes with Microsoft’s Outlook product. How easy is it to store data in the PIM? How easy is it to access that data when you need it? After using it for a couple weeks, evaluate whether usage of a PIM has helped you or “been more trouble than it’s worth” as the saying goes.
