I. Students should know the different forms of locomotion used by primates and how these locomotor patterns are reflected in the skeleton.

II. Students should be able to compare and contrast the anatomy of the hand, brain, skull, and dentition of different types of primates.

III. Students should understand how molecular biology and cytogenetics can be used to compare different primate species, and should know what these studies have shown about the relationship of humans to other primates.
