Signals and Systems: Analysis Using Transform Methods and MATLAB®M. J. Roberts,
University of Tennessee For the past 20 years, Mike Roberts has been teaching classes in signal and system analysis. In that time, he has spent several thousand hours writing class notes that help reveal, in his words, the beauty of signals and systems. Those class notes have evolved into a refreshing new text titled, Signals and Systems: Analysis Using Transform Methods and MATLAB®. The text begins with mathematical methods for describing signals and systems, in both continuous and discrete time. Roberts features parallel coverage of these signals, alternating back and forth so students can study them simultaneously. Along the way, Roberts presents material with the student in mind. Strong pedagogical features, including over 500 exercises and extensive examples, remind students that the reason they study theory is precisely because it has a real-world application. Students will also appreciate Roberts conversational writing style, a trait he has honed in the classroom by engaging and motivating students. Features:
