FAQs

What is cultural imperialism?
Cultural imperialism is the spread of one culture at the expense of others, and is an increasing problem in an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world.

What is hegemony? Am I at risk?
Hegemony is a term used to describe a social order in which subordinates comply with domination by internalizing their rulers values and accepting the "naturalness" of domination. This idea is used to explain why people conform without coercion.
