Student Assessment and Learning Guide (0072884355)
This study guide contains various forms of open-ended questions that require the student to write out his or her personal summary of the material. The guide gives students the opportunity not only to prepare for tests but also to develop and practice their business knowledge and skills. The following materials are provided for every chapter: learning goals, chapter outline, key terms and definitions, retention questions, critical thinking questions, Internet exercises, and a practice test. As always, this student guide was reviewed for format and accuracy before being printed.
Concept Mastery Toolkit CD-ROM. (0072884371)
Enhanced for the 7th Edition and FREE with each new copy of the text, the software as developed by Interactive Learning LLC adds another dimension to the text’s lessons for students. The test bank authors have provided approximately 25 practice exam questions for every chapter, which are modeled on but not taken from the test bank. These questions appear in either a review mode, which is used for review and to test basic comprehension, or in an application mode, which test the student’s ability to apply the concepts they’ve learned in the chapter to different situations. Students receive detailed feedback for each answer whether they answer correctly or not. And if students want to see where a specific answer in the quiz came from, they can click and go directly to screen shots of the actual page in the text, where the relevant passage has been highlighted. Another important NEW feature of the Concept Mastery Toolkit CD-ROM is designed to help many of our ESL students who will benefit from a multi-lingual glossary of key terms – in Spanish, Russian, and both Traditional and Simplified Mandarin Chinese. Self-assessments are also included on the CD, as well as a brief manual to accompany the Investments Trader (discussed below).

These Audio CDs (a new format for UB7E) contain the full text of each chapter (including the all-important boxed examples!) minus the end-of-chapter material. They are designed for commuters and other students who are pressed for time or who wish to enhance their learning by listening to the text. These recordings have also proven invaluable to students who are visually impaired or who have other disabilities that make reading difficult or impossible. A third group which benefits from the Audio CDs is non-native English-speaking students, who use the recordings to aid them in learning the language as well as the course material. Audio CD’s are available for $14.25 net (package price).
