An exchange rate is the value of one country’s currency relative to another country’s currency, and changes in a country’s exchange rates can have important implications for doing business globally. Go to www.oanda.com. Whose Web site is it, and what is the current exchange rate between one U.S. dollar (USD) and one Canadian dollar (CAD)? What was the exchange rate last year? Within the last year, has the USD strengthen (revalued) or weakened (devalued) relative to CAD? What are the implications of your findings for a U.S. company doing business with a Canadian company and for a Canadian company doing business with a U.S. company?
