About the Authors



Roy J. Lewicki is the Dean's Distinguished Teaching Professor and Professor of Management and Human Resources at the Max. M. Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University. He has authored or edited 24 books, as well as numerous research articles. Professor Lewicki has served as the President of the International Association of Conflict Management, and received the first David Bradford Outstanding Educator award from the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society for his contributions to the field of teaching in negotiation and dispute resolution.

David M. Saunders is Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Calgary. He has co-authored several articles on negotiation, conflict resolution, employee voice, and organizational justice. Prior to accepting his current appointment, he was Director of the McGill MBA Japan program in Tokyo, and he has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and South America.

John W. Minton is the President and C.E.O. of Havatar Associates, Inc., a management consultation, development, coaching and recruiting firm specializing in meeting the needs of small and medium-sized organizations. He has taught in the business schools of Appalachian State and Duke Universities, and at Pfeiffer University where he was the Jefferson-Pilot Professor of Management. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Gardner-Webb University, and has served as a volunteer mediator and arbitrator.

Bruce Barry is Associate Professor of Management and Sociology at Vanderbilt University, and also Director of the Ph.D. program at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management. His research on negotiation, influence, power, and justice has appeared in numerous scholarly journals and volumes. Professor Barry is serving a term as president of the International Association for Conflict Management (2002-2003), a professional society of researchers, teachers, and practitioners specializing in the fields of conflict, dispute resolution, and negotiation.
