1. Find out what investigative methods may or may not be protected from disclosure in court by going to the FBI's Law Enforcement Bulletin website, www.fbi.gov/publications/leb/leb.htm. Find the article entitled "The Qualified Privilege to Protect Sensitive Investigative Techniques from Disclosure" in the May 2000 issue. Under what conditions have courts recognized privilege for investigative techniques?

2. Search your state statutes for information on privileged communications. Legal research websites such as www.megalaw.com and www.Findlaw.com are good places to start. What types of communication are privileged in your state?
