Animation Schemes  Preset combinations of slide transitions and text animations.
AutoCorrect  The facility that makes corrections to common mistakes as you type.
AutoFit  The facility that causes text to reduce its size to fit within a placeholder.
Bold  Text property that causes text to appear darker.
Dotted-line selection box  Selection border indicating that an object can be operated.
Drawing  Toolbar containing graphic objects that normally appears at the bottom of a screen.
Font  The type face property of text.
Format Painter  Tool used to copy formats from text to be painted on other selections.
Hanging indent  A style of paragraph indention where the first line is further left than the rest of the paragraph.
Indent markers  Markers on the rule that control the placement of bullets and text.
Italic  Text property used for emphasis resulting in right-slanting text.
Meeting Minder  Allows the presenter to take notes and track action items during a presentation.
Object  Anything that can be manipulated on a slide.
Pen tool  Tool available during a presentation to annotate slides.
Point size  The height measurement of text size.
Properties  Settings that control how an object looks or behaves, like font. The attributes that can be set to control object behavior, for example, the speed and type of transition.
Shadow  Property that places a shadow on a character.
Shapes tool  Tools on the Drawing toolbar used to place shapes like rectangles on a slide.
Sizing handles  White circles in a selection border that can be used to resize an object.
Slanted-line selection box  Selection border indicating that the contents of an object can be edited.
Slide Master  Sets the formats, placeholders, and backgrounds that will be used as the presentation default.
Slide transition  Controls how a slide enters and leaves the screen.
Slide-title master pairs  The two slides that make up the slide master-the title slide and the body slide master.
Spelling Checker  Facility that places red wavy underlines under words that are not found in the dictionary.
Style Checker  Facility that warns the developer of style rules violations.
Style rules  Style rules set the parameters for punctuation, fonts, number of bullets, and so on, that are used by the Style Checker to review the style of a presentation.
Text animation  Effects that control how text enters and leaves a slide.
Text box  The object that holds text and is added to a slide from the Drawing toolbar.
Title Master  The master that sets that default format for title slides.
Toggle button  Buttons that apply and remove properties. For example, the Bold button on the toolbar.
