Animation  Motion added to a presentation object.
Copyright law  The laws that give the person who owns a work the rights to control how the work is used.
Custom animation  The pane of the task panel that allows you to fully control object animation in a presentation.
Dimming effect  The animation effect that causes an animated object to change color after the animation.
Embedded  When a file created in an external application is stored in PowerPoint, for example, an embedded voice narration file.
Internet search engine  Any of a group of Web products designed to search the Web based on the criteria that you enter, for example, Yahoo!, WebCrawler, AskJeeves, and so on.
Intrinsic sounds  Sounds that ship as part of the Microsoft Office Media Gallery.
Kiosk  A self-running slide show that can include custom animations or a recorded narration, and that protects against presentation update.
License agreement  A legal agreement that outlines how copyrighted materials can be used.
Linked  When a link to an external file is used to display its contents in a PowerPoint presentation. For example, a linked voice narration file is separate from the presentation. A method of displaying images and other objects in a document using a link to the original file.
Media clip  Members of the Microsoft Media Gallery including sounds, animations, movies, pictures, and clip art.
Properties  Settings that control how an object looks or behaves, like a font. The attributes that can be set to control object behavior. For example, the speed and type of transition.
Slide timings  The time that a slide will remain on the screen when the slide show is set to advance using timings. Timings can be set manually or while rehearsing the show.
Slide transition  The visual effect like dissolve or fade that ushers a slide onto the screen.
