PDAs

There are about as many choices for PDAs as there are for automobiles. You can buy relatively expensive or inexpensive ones. You can a PDA with lots of horsepower or a fairly simple one for just calendaring and the like.

Below, we've listed several models you may want to take a look at. And, of course, realize that models and their functionality change everyday. You may find a better one.

DELL

• Axim X5 (300 MHz) – lists for about $250 and includes IrDA wireless connectivity
• Axim X5 (400 MHz) – a step up from its 300 MHz predecessor (lists for about $350) with 64MB RAM and a 10-hour battery life

HANDSPRING

• Treo 90 – lists for about $300; uses the Palm OS; has a relatively small screen size and low resolution

HP

• iPAQ h1910 – lists for about $300; one of the smallest you can buy (4.2 ounce weight)
• iPAQ h5455 – one of the more expensive models at about $700; includes a 400 MHz processor and CompactFlash and SecureDigital expansion slots

SONY

• Clie PEG-NX70V – lists for about $600 with a 200 MHz processor and Memory Stick expansion slot
• Clie PEG-NZ90 – another expensive model at about $800 with some very nice capabilities
• Clie PEG-SJ30 – inexpensive at about $300 but with only a 33 MHz processor and 16MB RAM

TOSHIBA

• Pocket PC e335 - $400 list; 300 MHz processor; nice light-weight model
• Pocket PC e750 - $600 list; 400 MHz processor; one of the largest screen sizes at 3.75 inches
