Before you read the results of Michael Storms' clever experiment (1973), see if you can predict the result. Picture yourself as a subject in Storms' experiment. You are seated facing another student with whom you are to talk to for a few minutes. Beside you is a TV camera that shares your view of the other student. Facing you from alongside the other student are an observer and another TV camera. Afterward, both you and the observer judge whether your behavior was caused more by your personal characteristics or by the situation.
