About the Authors



Ellen Pearlman taught for over a decade at Columbia University's prestigitious CTA (Computer Technology and Applications) program, and for the M.A. in Digital Design at Parson's School of Design, The New School University and CUNY Baruch. She was also Director of Research for Basex, Inc., a technology analyst firm.


Eileen Mullin is the founder of GenuineClass, a New York-based computer consultancy and computer school for families. Previously, she was vice president of global HR Internet strategy at Merrill Lynch, where she oversaw the firm's human resources Web sites worldwide. Eileen also served as program director of content programming for IBM, coordinating editorial content and interactive broadcasts for ibm.com. She has previously written four books about Internet services and computer-based graphic design. Eileen received a 2003 Jesse H. Neal Award, the most prestigious award for business journalists, for articles she contributed to Ziff Davis's Baseline magazine.
