Gerald L. Wilson is professor of communication and chair of the Communication Department at the University of South Alabama, where he teaches courses in organizational communication. He received his B.S. from Bowling Green State University, his M.A. from Miami University of Ohio, and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has also taught and conducted research at Northern Illinois University and Indiana University-Indianapolis. He has authored five books and numerous essays and articles on communication. He is also a consultant to business and industry.
